COVID-19 Update

Dear clients of Heal Thyself & Co,

We are thinking of you and hoping you stay well during these uncertain times.

Massage therapy is healthcare. As part of your healthcare team, we want to continue serving you while staying safe. We want to discuss some concerns regarding the COVID-19 situation and some guidelines for how we can move forward prudently.

Unless mandatory quarantine is enacted, we will continue to see clients regularly, with the following considerations. If things change, we will update you.

  1. If you or a member of your household show symptoms of any sort, please contact the front desk immediately to postpone your appointment. If you need to take care of a sick loved one, or if you do not have childcare, or if you want to stay away for a few weeks just to be safe, please contact the front desk to postpone your appointment.
  2. Until the uncertainty has passed, no late-cancellation fees will be charged.
  3. If your therapist or a member of their household shows symptoms of any sort, they will postpone your appointment immediately. Please check your texts, voicemails, and email on the day of your appointment in case we have contacted you.
  4. As always, we will use strict sanitation procedures in the clinic to ensure that you are safe during your appointment. We have consulted experts in viral decontamination to ensure the best possible practices.
  5. High-risk groups include those over the age of 60, smokers, respiratory ailments, obesity, diabetics, other chronic medical conditions, and those who are immunocompromised. If you or someone close to you is in a high-risk group, please consider whether postponing your appointment is the right choice for you.
  6. So far, no therapist or client of Heal Thyself has contracted COVID-19, as far as we know. If we become aware of a possible exposure to COVID-19 in the clinic, we will immediately disclose this to any clients affected, as the most responsible course of action.
  7. Remember that washing your hands with plain soap and hot water, refraining from touching your face, and staying out of unnecessary public places are the best ways to keep healthy during any widespread illness—staying calm and sensible are the best defenses. We will weather this challenge as a community, and we are here for you along the way.

If you have any questions or concerns, please send an email, call, or text. We want to hear from you and to support you. Take care and be safe, one day at a time.

Warmly,

the Heal Thyself family
